Nickel 2000 R5.00 coin with new Coat of Arms

Can anybody possibly tell me how many of these coins were minted and what it possible value if any may be. Many Thanks. Dan

I think about 2million were minted in 2000 with the new arms. Compared to an other years where 40 or 60 million R5 coins are struck, that's not a high mintage. That being said 2million coins is still far too high for it to be scarce or rare. Your coin is worth its face value R5

Hern's 2008 catalogue gave these as R100 for unc and face value for others... but this is an old catalogue so it could have changed. Mintages were included with the Mandelas at +/-6.2mil. No proofs were minted

Yes 2mill per variety made up the 6mil? Smiley, old and new arms. I could be out as well as I'm quoting from memory from a 2000 MTB book...
