Collecting gemstones for beginners ??

Hi everybody

 

I'm new to this and would appreciate some advise and help if possible. Can someone maybe point me in the right direction on how to start gem collecting.

 

1. Which gems are the best to collect ?

2. Best websites for gems ?

3. Sites and/or sellers to avoid ?

Something like maybe Gem collecting for Dummies ;)
