Can't bid on auctions or buy bobBucks -- "You do not have permission"

Hello everyone,

 

I recently joined the site and completed registration via email, since I live in the US and never received the text message on my phone. I went to go bid on an auction and it redirected me to a page that said "You do not have permission to carry out this operation". I also tried to buy some bobBucks but I received the same error message. I joined the site because there are unique items here that are very hard to find closer to home, so please help before I miss out on more. Thanks!

That's what I did a few days ago. I received a link via email and activated my account. I wasn't able to do anything before I activated it, but now it just seems that I can't buy things.
