4 weeks ago we were just ahead of Australia and was the country with the fourth most graded coins in the world. We are suddenly 60 000 coins ahead of Australia. what can the reason be for such a large volume of coins being graded? silver 1 oz krugers maybe?

There are thousands of Premium Unc and Proof silver krugerrands, gold 2017 krugerrands in all variations being graded. If you look at the POP reports and see the number of PF70's and SP70's you will be amazed. There about 70 000 PU and about 4 000 proof silver krugerrands graded to date. These are mainly graded by the American companies.

Since I know there aren't remotely anywhere near that many real collectors in South Africa and there certainly aren't hardly any elsewhere who want this coin for their collection, it's obvious that it is coin brokers and bullion dealers submitting this volume for sale to "investors".

Longer term, I expect these coins to sell for about the same premium as other bullion not in an NGC or PCGS holder.
