Item not as described, damaged, not being refunded fully

I recently purchased an iPhone 5 http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/228795876/Apple_iPhone_5_16GB_Black.html

The phone was described as "Always had solid cover and screen protector, so no damage." however it was covered in dents and scratches. I have taken photos. I offered R2000 but he countered with R2300 including courier. Now he refuses to refund my R2300 in full. He insists on deducting the success fee and courier, even though I have to courier it back at my own cost. I feel that this is unfair for a phone that is described as having no damage but is covered in dents on the rear and the sides. Can anyone help?
