RobinCT 10 Posted October 30, 2015 Is it only me, or is there a far more common trend now where sellers "I assume" are bidding on their own items upping other buyers bids, then just before the close, they delete their last bids. Deleting bids should not be allowed at all, thats how BoB started off, and thats how it should continue. If the buyer isnt genuine, then the seller can make an offer to the next highest ranked bidder, but the bidding up is driving me nuts.. Any thoughts?
admin 8 Posted October 30, 2015 Hi RobinCT, Welcome to the forums. As per the Consumer Protection Act, the bidder has the right to have their bid deleted at their request. All sellers, when asked by the bidder through the items Q&A, and bidorbuy, should the bidder contact us to have their bid deleted, has to comply. This is monitored and should an user abuse having their bids deleted, action can and will be taken against their account. Shill bidding is also monitored, but please feel free to report any suspicions you have and it will be looked into. Kind regards Andries
