bellemodel 10 Posted September 14, 2015 Do they include hits from search engine crawlers and spam robots or are all the views from humans?

bellemodel 10 Posted September 15, 2015 Well sure there are crawlers all over internet. Don't you ever crawl on the internet?? I do:laugh::rolleyes: The problem is those view counters are misleading. I suspect that at least 75% of those views are hits from crawlers and robots.
Johan 7 Posted September 21, 2015 Hi Bellemodel, The item-view counter will only be increased if the trade is open/loaded and if the close-time has not been reached. The counter is increased irrespective of the user-agent and will also measure bots/crawlers as a view. These are only crawlers that would typically be used to index pages into search engines, typically a crawler would only crawl a page once and if more it is normally to get a mobile and desktop view of the page. Unfriendly crawlers are blocked on our servers. I hope that this answers your question. Johan

You may be able to block some of the mayor crawlers, but never all of them. So many (I recon most) of the view counters will still be from non-humans.
