Free Soul Styles 10 Posted June 9, 2015 It's happened to almost all sellers. An auction is 50/50. It's a risk you take with the R1.00 auctions. The trick is not ripping off buyers for shipping to try make up the loss. Some sellers try that... Never works out well. If you are worried you can list with a reserve or starting price higher than R1.00. Takes the risk out.
reeceonlinetrading 10 Posted June 9, 2015 its a chance you take auctions are tricky depends on the item and getting the right buyer
JacoJ 10 Posted June 10, 2015 You can also try the new "Make an Offer" functionality on Buy Now items. It allows for you to set a fixed price and allow offers from potential buyers. this has much less risk making losses. It is almost a hybrid between an Auction and Buy Now. And as Free Soul Styles mentioned...it is very important not to make buyers feel they are being ripped off on shipping.
Not1CentMore 10 Posted June 10, 2015 Oh, my yes! Sometimes it is rainbows and lollipops and other times it is a beating, but it is a great way to start out on BoB... to get your 'name' out there and get some positives under your belt... with less costly items.
