jcriller 11 Posted April 20, 2015 I am sitting here going through the listed items for sale, so many coins listed with prices that is way off. a few months ago i paid R5000.00 each for two 1/4p, did i pay too much? most certainly, but i did it because i wanted the items and was willing to pay a premium to get finest known specimens into my collection.I was also in the bidding process for a 1957 1/4p recently that went to R10000. Now suddenly we have sellers trying to sell 2nd and 3rd finest items at that price, come on guys, you are doing more harm to the hobby then good. There is no way your item will sell at that inflated price. As a rule i only bid on auctions starting at R1 meaning the item will eventually sell for more or less its real worth.
