What do you think this coin is worth?

Hi there,

 

Just can't seem to find a value for this South Africa 1892 3 Pence (MS65) and wondered what you think the value is. There is only 1 graded higher as a MS66 and there is only 1, the population for the MS65 is 2.

Hi ZAR Coins,

 

If you go back last year to my posting on the DNW September Auction (Scarce Coin Watch),there was an NGC MS65 1892 3d sold there for 4600GBP (R105,800)

 

There are actually two MS66 coins, one at NGC and another at PCGS and the MS65 coin is shared in grade with another coin at NGC. The next best at PCGS graded is an MS64 coin

Thanks for the feedback Geejay, you are right with regards to PCGS having the higher grade coin too. I misspoke as I was talking about NGC only but you are in fact correct. I do think the exchange rate you worked out is inaccurate though. Think the price is in the R80K region. Thanks for the input.
