reeceonlinetrading 10 Posted November 20, 2014 i noticed in recent days that buyers are choosing the postage option then after a while they say they dont like to wait for postage cos of strike if i cant courier the items at no extra charge because other sellers are doing it. on most items the profit margins are low then to pay extra courier charge because buyer insists other sellers are doing it is so not on, and i feel if i say no then they going to give a bad rating what are your views on this

If buyer wants item couriered they need to pay the extra charges it entails. If other sellers can afford to courier items at no extra charge, hats off to them, I know I most certainly cannot. The cheapest courier I have found (who is both close by & convenient) is Post Net which does a counter to counter option for R99.00 for items under 5kg (I think) If you do receive a negative rating for not couriering items free of charge (can't believe it) phone BoB who I am sure will remove the rating as to my mind, this is seen as a bullying tactic ie: other sellers are doing it so you had better do it too.......hell no, I won't! NooNooBug 10 Posted November 21, 2014 Agreed, don't give in, just a form of blackmail. I cannot imagine who can afford to send via courier for the same price as SAPO, if it were that easy we would all be using the courier and wouldn't worry with SAPo ever again !
