cgbrown 10 Posted December 14, 2013 The collecting of old postcards particularly topographical has become a major hobby. I find that the postcard listings on Bid or Buy are inadequate. Postcards are currently hidden under, Antiques and Collectibles then Stationery and Writing Equipment and finally Postcards. Ebay has a separate Postcard listing that follows the categories in the Picture Postcard Values publication. I am not suggesting that Bid or Buy needs to follow Ebay but Postcards without overdoing it do deserve their own category. I would suggest: Postcards Southern Africa Johannesburg & Transvaal Durban& Natal Cape Town & WC Port Elizabeth & EC Bloemfontein & FS etc. You get the jist. Jacques Kuun 12 Posted December 14, 2013 Hello cg You will also find postcards under stamps. The seller babadaud usually lists a fine selection. Keep well and regards Jacques
cgbrown 10 Posted December 15, 2013 Morning Jacques, I held off listing for months because of the B/B postcard category but have now put my toe in the water. As with the seller that you mentioned I have also split listings between stamps and postcards. I guess that the trick is to become noticed and hope that collectors click on your name because the B/B search is all over the place. Thanks for your feedback.
