Accepting lower / counter offers on buy now items

Recommended Posts

NickyB1

I would just like to know if it is against the rules to accept a lower amount / counter offer on a buy now item.

I had an item listed for R1100. I was contacted and the buyer offered me R800. We settled on R900 and concluded the deal.

Did I break any rules, and are we able to accept lower offers?

Thanks,

Greeting Nicky B1 and Welcome to the forum!

I don't believe you broke any rules as long as bob get there seller fees....and that is where you may lose out, if the item closed at a selling price of 1,100. your sellers fees will be R55 as oppose to R45.

Thank you, I am prepared for the extra cost - bid or buy is so much better and safer than eg. gumtree it is worth it.

Warm Regards

Hi NickyB1,

Welcome to the forum.

To add to what Just Beachin said. For future reference, on a buy now you can just edit the price. Also please note that giving contact details in the Q&A is not allowed.

Thank you.

Makes sense regarding the price.

Apologies for the contact details - I am new and I have quite a bit to learn. I do appreciate the prompt support -

Thank You -
