seige of beaconsfield 1900 silver medal ( not the white metal one )

Recommended Posts

Good day all,

maybe one of the militaria experts can shed some light on this medal for me.

I have done some research on the net and found 2 variants of this medal, one in a white metal and one in sterling silver,

now from the research they state that about 1500 medals was made from the white metal variety while only 9 medals was made from sterling silver, if this is correct, what would the sterling silver medal's value be if the white metal variety sells for around R1000-00.

I have included photos of my one ( sterling silver ) and then the white metal one for you to see the difference.

any info will be much appreciated
