Which is on the number 2 key, @ or " ?

I have an HP keyboard at work that is the same "european" configuration.

The symbols are on the correct keys but the keyboard in incorrectly marked. Basically just something you need to get used to. If the keyboard marking are correct then check that the default language and keyboard is set to US english.

Thanks Wayne, but I am sure if I do this there would be a guarantee issue.

I had a similar problem many years ago....I am sure it is some sort of software or setup issue.

Thanks Lukeness.

The @ is on the number 2 key, the standard keyboard configuration. I will re set the default language to US English as I think I set it to "British" English....maybe I should have set it to Scottish English!

It needs to be US English. You can set your dictionaries in MS Word etc to UK English.

Managed to change the keyboard configuration...quite a task with Windows 8 as I am not familiar with it.

Many thanks for your help Lukeness.
