Imports from China Delayed

I import a lot of electonics from China/Hong Kong, but the past couple of weeks - my suppliers have all said that there is major problems with customs sending items back etc.

 

Anybody else heard anything about this?

Hi, we only use HongKong and China Post

I placed a large order in China early December and had my goods delivered by my forwarder end January....much quicker than normal.

 

China Post is exceptionally slow....it can take up to 3 months for a letter to be delivered....if you are lucky!

 

RSA Customs can be tricky if you do not use the proper import codes/paperwork for the items being imported.

Cant say we having a problem, we send 2 shipments a week by courier on average, 1 air cargo shipment and usually a sea container a month to 6 weeks. We had some problems out of Shanghai but no problems from Guangzhou. Shenzhen, Guangzhou have always been easy Ningbo and Shanghai always have some issues.

 

Not sent anything by post in a very long time.
