Vegar 15 Posted April 28, 2009 Is this not strange? http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/12745584/DIAMOND_RING_0_86ct_DIAMOND_SI3_SET_IN_18ct_WHITE_GOLD.html A short 3 day listing at 20% of the price. If I wanted to sell such a ring I would go to a professional jeweller... right?
Lukeness 10 Posted April 28, 2009 A professional jeweller would want to pay well under wholesale price IF they wanted it at all. Most would want an even further reduction as an incentive.
Sollyzar 10 Posted April 30, 2009 hi, if the EGL certificate actually matched the ring, then 25,000R is a very good price and way below retail value , but not enough to attract the attention of jewelers. However , the stated market price of 121,720R is very deceiving and no jeweler would ever dream of selling for that amount! regards Solly
Lukeness 10 Posted April 30, 2009 The chart retail value of the diamond including vat is just shy of R30 000.
GemDeals 10 Posted May 5, 2009 Anyone notice that the "valuation" sticker looks like it has been removed and/or reapplied in the 1st pic in the listing? Now that I think about it that certificate is only for the stone... That valuation is irrelevant. I would like to know what was under that sticked in the first place?
