This is not listed as a charity listing - In my own mind I would think offering a competition with hunting as a prize would not be allowed on BoB. I truly hope not!

I agree retailrush. And it's not just the raffle I'm worried about:amazed:....proceeds are going to a church! I was not aware that a church would agree to something like this or even approve it~:disgusted:

Has anyone notified CW about this?

I, too, think it is awful!

It's okay - as long as you don't hunt on a Sunday

Is everybody here vegetarian ? Are you aware that hunting is a big tourist attraction? I see no difference between auctioning a holiday or a hunt.

Net my opinie.

"As far as my knowledge goes, no Afrikaans church is against this practise. (funds generated from the sale of hunting). This practise is apparantly as old as the mountains! Schools and political parties do the same. Afrikaans churches are not against hunting, and they also do not ask where the money/donations originate from.

Just my opinion"

St Andrew's College in Grahamstown used to auction off buck, hunts, etc, but don't do that anymore as there were too many people who complained.

They also used to host an annual Guy Fawkes fire display which they no longer do - this I whole-heartedly approve of!
