Recommended Posts

Bid or Buy is advertising the Toshiba Model SD-V296 (new condition) the online manual say this machine in set to play NTSC the USA format & cannot play PAL format (Europe/South Africa format) if this is so, why is this machine being advertised in South Africa, its quite expensive for someone to buy, only to find it's no use here?

Many thanks

bidorbuy does not list the products for sale nor are we the seller. Should there be an issue with a listing you can report it via the Spot a Problem link at the top right hand corner of the Description box, we can then investigate the issue and take action if necessary. The only item I can find is a closed listing - DVD Players - Toshiba SD-V296 Tunerless DVD VCR Combo was listed for R1,462.90 on 5 Oct at 00:01 by have2have in Johannesburg (ID:76351356). The seller states the following clearly in the advert:

Electrical items

All plugs are intended for use in the USA and so it may require an input power of no great than 110v. In order for it to work in South Africa you may require a 220v to 110v step down transformer. Only items which are 220v compatible will not require a transformer and we will include an adapter free of charge"
