Hi, I came across this stamp which seems like one of a kind after searching through Scott's catalog and not finding this particular "misprint?". Does anyone have more info?

Hello Staccato. I can't help you with your query but it's good to see you are still around! You have been far too quiet.

It appears as if the stamp is damaged.

It does not appear so, using a strong magnifying glass and close scrutiny it seems "natural", also note the offset from the bottom perfs and rhs has no perfs and the black vertical line. Dunno...

Hello Staccato

Please do not shoot the bearer of bad news.

This is a badly centred stamp with damage to the left.

Keep well and regards

Jacques

PS: I welcome input from other BoB stamp dealers. What do you say Neil?

Thanks Lily, I know I have been scarce. Had a motor accident, had some damage from Saturday's hailstorm, the hail smashed right through the roof, tennis ball size hailstones. The lounge was dripping so much water it was like a indoor rainstorm. Spent the whole of Monday and yesterday making temporary repairs to the roof till the Landlord's insurance sorts it out. Nice to be back on the forum.

Is it not just perhaps light reflecting from when the flash went off?

After some research I have the following info for what it's worth. It is a 1c Franklin Booklet stamp. These booklet stamps were issued to the soldiers in ww1.

Have a read about US booklets here
