Deletion of old trades

Dear Sellers

Please be aware of the following:

  • We have started to delete non-transactional trades (i.e. trades without any financial record such as a sold trades and/or trades having occurred fees such as listing- or enhancement fees)
  • This exercise is necessary to reduce space usage on our database and improve maintenance operations
  • bidorbuy will only keep trades which are:
    • Not older than 18 months
    • and Trades which have resulted in a financial record with bidorbuy (i.e. a sale, or a trade with fees) - those trades can be older than 18 months
    • and Trades which we deem SEO relevant - those could be trades which are older than 18 months but have not occurred fees but are important enough from a SEO perspective to keep around

Kind regards

Cuan

Just to clarify - does this then mean that all items that have never incurred a fee shall be deleted or only items under a certain selling price? If this is so could you please let us know what this price is as I am sure there must be quite a few sellers out there who will now have to do quite some magical juggling with their items.

Thank you

It means trades that never incurred a fee (Premium Listing enhancement, etc) or trades that concluded in a sale.

So in basic terms, any trade that closed without any sales, that didn't have any fees attached, that is older than 18 months go bye bye.

Hopefully that makes a little more sense.

A bit of a warning before the taking off started might have been nice.
