Empirex 10 Posted August 7, 2012 I'm confused regarding this auction here -- ONE HUNDRED (100) South African SILVER Tickeys (6 lots available) Why is it that only my automatic bid went up to R370. While other bids are only down at R300 - R303?
Jacques Kuun 10 Posted August 7, 2012 (edited) Hello Empirex That is the way the system for multiple lots work. I once benefited (tremendously and perhaps unjustly) from this. A seller had 150 items on auction starting at R1-00 each. I put bids in for 150 items at R10-00 each. There were bids at R11-00 to R15-00 on 11 items. I won the rest – 139 items at R1-00 each! I would never put up a lot with multiple items (I am referring to the 6 separate lots in your case). Keep well and regards Jacques Edited August 7, 2012 by dstorm
Empirex 10 Posted August 7, 2012 Must admit I'm still confused  There's also another person who bid on 2 auctions that also only went up to R303. Note that R370 per item wasn't my highest bid either.
RISadler 10 Posted August 7, 2012 OK, using your picture above for the explanation ... it doesn't make sense. Another example of  programming, I'd say.
qball 12 Posted August 14, 2012 The other bidders had those as their maximum auto bid amount, when they are outbid the system brings their bids up to the maximum they are willing to pay.
