'Auction closed' - any way to access item if still unsold?

Hi guys,

 

I'm a newbie buyer, so please forgive the silly question. If I find a book listed that I really want, but I've discovered it too late and it is now marked 'Auction closed', is there any way that I can ask the seller to re-open the bidding? Thanks for a terrific marketplace!

If the seller has other open items you can ask in the Q&A of one of them, or see if they are a forum member and send them a private message.
