Interesting Copper or Bronze Coin ???

Hi, I had an interesting find in a hoard of coins recently. (please check the pics attached) The coin in the centre is a 1964 South African 1c which seems to be pressed on 1D/penny blank. Does any one have any info regarding this particular mint? I would greatly appreciate the feedback. thanks
