Apologies for late response but all Wayne's fault - kept me talking utter rubbish the whole day on Saturday

Didn't Ramires score as well? & somebody by the name of Carroll?

I have to say that there are a few names one could call Drogba but would Beaut really be one of them?

Looking forward to 19 May............Bayern is sure to win  but don't quote me on that.

Hello ma`am

Well now, the commentators referred to him as Mr Wembly. I am sure he would`nt mind Sir, The Greatest,

Most Awesomest, Bestest and anything else which describes his Wonderfullest Status.

Especially if Chelsea beat Bayern and he scores !

Ramires is a great player. Carroll was a 35 Million Pound gamble which to date has not worked. Afraid he

has that "Effortless Supremacy" attitude so peculiar to English sport.

We shall see.

Judging by this, I wouldn't put a whole lot of faith in anything the commentators say  did they really, & nobody in the stadium said a word...................

Ha Ha Ha

The only player ever to score in four FA Cup finals ! He is, I am afraid, Mr Wembley until

someone else does the same. But he did it first.

And ..... Man U have to beat Sunderland by a margin of eight goals away plus whatever Man City scores

against QPR at home for the league title. Or is a shocker awaiting us ?

You are right, it cannot be taken away from him & even though he is getting rather "elderly" he does tend to score the really important goals.

I do think MU's luck is now done, it is now the time of the rise of City (money talks)

Wonder what twists & turns the Euro shall bring..........if I'm not mistaken we start off on 8 June with Poland & Greece :notrust:

Bye Bye Man U.

Cannot wait for Euro. We should see Spain, Germany, Italy and England as the top four if current form is

anything to go by. Didi cant play for England so maybe he can dress up in a suit and swan around with

the VIP`s. Such is this elderly giant killers iconic status.

I agree with 3 of your choices but alas, I cannot agree with England - they may (actually make that will) be going home in the first round. I have a feeling we shall see Holland in the Top 4.

Well yes, Drogba can't play for England but due to his "advanced" age surely he does deserve some rest

Wonder who will be the new Chelsea coach.

Due to things being what they are I am forced to say that Greece may be in the Top 4, just doing my duty & I have a feeling you may believe in that happening better than I do but hey - I have a marriage I need to keep intact :disgusted:

So many choices.

Greece have done very well before although I am not sure about their form at present.

Holland often become their own worst enemy in big games.

Maybe Didi should try his hand at coaching. Perhaps Barca can benefit from his services.

They need someone, anyone, actually.:sneaky:

Years ago we had "International League" teams playing once a month -Greece, Italy, England,

Germany, Holland etc which was great fun. The rule was that if you had too few players to

field a team you could use "South African" players. I always played for Greece with friends of mine

and we always got the best food from the wives and mothers after the games. But that was

that - ask a daughter out at your peril ! And eat all your food or else. And my buddies father

had a whole string of video shops, Pacman and Asteroids machines and all those lekker things.

We are still lifelong friends.

And whilst on the subject of countries, what do you think about Mr Holland(e) now "in charge" of France?

JL is taking too long to respond so I'll have my say  I do believe its a good thing because he is planning to raise taxes by up to 75% for the very wealthy & give more support to the working classes which is what the whole world needs - I truly fail to see why the very wealthy should be paying the same % of taxes as for eg: the guy who cleans the streets. there should definitely be more socialism than complete capitalism.

Salvatore Schillaci  OMG I loved that man back in the day - all I remember of the 1990 World Cup is him - perhaps he could make a comeback

We occasionally go down to the Greek Club & watch the "up & coming stars" in action - give Dimitri a ball, tennis ball, beachball, soccer ball & he will immediately start dribbling - I think it is just in their blood.

Oh yes, the food - Dimitri's sister came from Greece to spend a few weeks with us not too long ago (& please know she is a true Cretan & does not speak a word of English, a little difficult as my Greek is limited to all the rude words) & being rather older than I she immediately suggested to me via sign language that she show me some recipes for real traditional cooking (of course I agreed by nodding my head & then just left her to it, well I did tell her yassoo) well, my word - koularakia, moussaka, dolmades, kourambides, kleftiko, pastitsio, baklava etc etc etc (never knew such things could be produced in my kitchen) and with everything, and I mean everything you have to have either retsina or ryki, and they wake you up at all odd hours bearing plates of food & bottles of some mind blowing spirits - and as you say, if you don't eat and drink everything you get a shake of the head & a very vehement ochi.......I almost became a fat drunk :wtf:

A reminder for tomorrow.

Chelsea vs Bayern Munich on Supersport from 7.00 pm to 11.00 pm.

I know this is a ridiculous request but does anyone have a Didier Drogba jersey for R 10 000.00 or so ?

Perhaps Fernando Torres for slightly less ? In fact, any Chelsea kit is desperately needed for the bash

at my humble abode starting just now and carrying on for 2 weeks or so.( Ms Plod - where do you shop

for your Caviar ? Can`t find the damned stuff).

I am even willing to pay in gold bullion of recent vintage for bulk purchases.

Looking very forward to it

BTW: what are you going to do with your ridiculously expensive purchase once they lose - you are aware that the value will then plummet? :disgusted: shall it then become a super high priced cleaning rag

If they win I shall be tripping over my tongue yet again :embarrest: what I do know though is that your friend is apparently moving over to Barca........

I must admit that my rugby knowledge is minimal - so make of this what you will :oh: 58f5a73682123_BeefStock.JPG.c7f553c10f502566de1ad8ee5b17f0ef.JPG

A true gentleman is our Didi.

Barca has probably tried to buy him for a bargain - like 500 million pounds.

But that will cause problems for all the spoilt brats at Barca who could not win

a single trophy this year.

And the Bulls lost 16 - 11 to the Highlanders. Swine ref.
