What recourse do sellers have?

Recommended Posts

ATA STAMP CENTRE

Due to the outage last night friday 13th many items listed sold way below what they would normally have realised.I am referring to R1 auctions which you can list and close at anytime ,not the crazy wed.

Most bidders tend to bid before closing and any items closing last night from 8pm onwards could not have bids placed on them and therefore sold for the current bids placed which in my experience was about a third or what they would normally have sold for.

I therefore ask what the solution would be if a seller did not wish to let the items sold go for the prices realised?Could bob suggest a solution which is fair and equitable to the seller.

In my case it is only a few hundred rands difference and not worth upsetting a buyer but there is a matter of principle and there must be many sellers affected with perhaps huge financial losses from last night.

ANY THOUGHTS ANYONE?

NEIL

Hi Neil,

I have moved your first post here to avoid multiple threads on the subject.

Thank you.
