Images were taking a long time to load and I upgraded to a faster internet now they load almost instantly.

I must say it did not take as long as an hour though before I changed

I loaded a number of images yesterday and had no problem.

I use picasa and sometimes they upgrade and if I dont upgrade picasa as well then it slows it down.

Many thanks for your help, I will have my daughter-in-law upgrade tomorrow for me. I could not upload any scans at all today...very frustrating.

Hi alloway

What format and size are the scanned images?

You can only upload jpg, png and gif images and must be under 3mb in size.

It could be that your scanner settings have changed without you noticing it.

Also, although you can upload up to 3 Mb, it takes ages as this is really big, I don't go anything larger than 1Mb.

Hi Tananka,

Many thanks for your assistance.

Most of my scanned images are well under 2MB and usually less that 1MB and are jpg!

Up until last week I never had a problem with scans.

Maybe some settings have changed....my daughter in law is coming over for lunch and she will check my whole system this afternoon.

Have a great Easter...and thanks again!

David

Hi Tananka,

I have reduced the resolution of my scans even more and that appears to have done the trick...a relief....thank a million.:smile1:

Take care

There is this really wonderful little freeware package called PhotoScape which I use to resize my camera pics (around 4megs) for emailing to family who are still on dial up. I crop and/or resize the photos to about 600x800 and then also alter the resolution (very quick to do with this software) and the pics are still good quality and only around 150Kb (or less). Those should upload in a jiffy and it will also mean that your auction pages will load quickly for buyers.

No - I do not get a cut for promoting PhotoScape - it is really genuine Freeware and I just LOVE it and enjoy sharing things that make me happy... LOL!
