If you only have one item, the jeweller may want to charge you a percentage of the valuation. Don't fall for it. If he's not prepared to do it for not more than R50.00, try another place! Here in Grahamstown we were charged R30.00 per valuation.

Damn, the movement had to bribe an official to take part in todays Cosatu march. Cosatu is also

terrified of Admin`s big weepon. Had to pay a premium to join the military wing.

nice!

Can I go to any jeweller or must I go to a specific one? Do I just ask for an evaluation with certificate then?

Don't worry, I'll ask for some sort of ID before I hand the ring over.

Just go to a pawn shop and say you want to sell the ring and if they offer you eg: R500 you know it's worth at least 10x more

hi

go to one that u trust. the one i use is friend we know for years. just go and ask for the an evaluation with certificate with a worth of the item on the certificate. the certificate is made with the jewelers letterhead and a full discription of the item and the worth of it. just tell them u want the evaluation for the insurance compony.

hope this helps
