@kimbo11 - I suggest you use the search function which you will find on BoB's home page to see if any other similar items are on sale and at what price. If that fails, then try and google the notes - you may be pleasantly surprised to find just the info you need.

(I am not a numismatist so can't be of any further help - perhaps this evening one of the boffins will read this thread and answer you better than I can).

Good luck.

Try RANDCOIN - They are experts in banknotes. Wish we could assist but know very little on banknotes. :)

Hi. The resale value would depend on the grade of the note, e.g. an uncirculated banknote would have a better value than one with an extremely fine or very fine grading. I trust that my answer will help you with your question. Regards. Graham Stoltz

Hi Graham

Thank you for your answer, is my scanner worked i would have scanned them. They are all in very good nic, not UNC but no creases or marks on them.

Can you just give me some ball park price please. I just want to know if they are at least a little more than face value

Hi Kimbo,

I have a few notes like these, I am not a boffin when it comes to notes and their value but i can assure you it wont be something to write home about. You can either sell them in a set 1-2-5-10 and maybe get more. If the nrs were in sequence for ex. on the R1 and R5's I am sure they would be worth much more. I would say between R600-R900 for all depending on the quality.

Like i said not a boffin

I am sorry Kimbo

I have just returned from Kimberley of all places tonight, and just saw your post now. I have no sales stats on SA notes and have to rely on the old Randburg catalogue and Herns latest issue (that is difficult to get used to)

And on the subject of Kimberley, I do not think their are any diamonds in the examples you have mentioned above, but with a CRAZY Wednesday auction, one never knows!

Hope you do well ... as I would rather not give you estimates at this late hour before the auctions closes in a few hours.

Pierre

Your input are always welcome Pierre, Tx (Nice and sunny here in central SA, i am just on the other side of Bloem)

I just have to sort my scanner out, hopefully next week, then we will see :)
