Momentum for 2009! Gemstone enthusiasts and sellers welcome

Morning Jeff, and all bobers,

I heard a few weeks ago of a BOB Seller, who had bought a lot of stones, I think on BoB at rock bottom prices, and decided to fly to an Eastern country to make his fortune....I wonder how he got on...he (or she) was probably laughed at and wasted his time and lost money by spending on air fares and accomodation....gives you some idea of the knowledge, or lack thereof, of some Gemstone Sellers.

As I say.....live and learn....reap what you sow!!!

When I was new in this "business" 18 months ago, if I totted up all the "valuations" of the gemstone rubbish I bought on bob...I would have been quite a bit more comfortable moneywise.

I made my money the old fashioned way by working hard for 40 years, and now I have fun on BoB and with my other (retirement) busuinsses.

especially if the the stone they took were so called Burmese Rubies!! ... You can only imagine the despair and disappointment!!

And the additional loss of fund through trying to mount stones in jewellery and other expenses like the travel costs would also be horrendous.
