Perfect Xmas Present?

6 posts in this topic

Ok, so i thought I would purchase this item:

Blackberry - PERFECT XMAS PRESENT***BRAND NEW BOXED* Blackberry Playbook 16GB 7" Tablet was sold for R3,505.00 on 21 Dec at 20:31 by 1Digital in Pietermaritzburg (ID:52564138)

Asked a few questions and was happy with the answers.

Won the auction, paid within an half an hour after close of auction, e-mailed the proof, waited.......

Finally today I receive an answer from the seller stating there is no stock in South Africa, it takes three weeks for stock to clear customs, but I will refund you.

But the cherry on the top and I quote " I am terribly sorry, but bidorbuy doesn't allow me to cancel listings once they are open."

Is this true?

Oh well so much for the "Perfect Xmas Present", hope I get my money back, so I can buy some place else.

Hi Pugly,

Sounds like an excuse not to admit to drop shipping, especially if the listing says "LOCAL STOCK NO WAITING".... Thanks, Bertus is on it...

Shame Pugly that is absolutely awful! Now you have to go to the shops at the last minute! Hang this person by their thumbs!

Jeepers thats blatant...... even promised via q and a that it would be with you before Christmas! As for your question on not being able to cancel listings..... yes, a listing can be cancelled after it has opened even if there are bids on it. The seller simply needs to delete the bids as "an error in the listing... which is that they dont have stock" and then delete the auction.

I see the seller has no open listings....... bob are on to it quickly.

Good luck with getting your refund!

Oh well, I will have to buy a red ribbon and wrap myself up, hope the wife appreciates that, seeing that she won't be receiving her "Blackberry Playbook"

Merry Xmas to you all and thanks.

Pugly
