which is the correct wording? The yolk of an egg "is" white or is it, the yolk of an egg "are" white?

The yoke of an egg is white, the yoke of eggs are white, singular = is, plural = are :toung: He, she and it = is, they = are... Not bad for a boertjie hey :smile:
