DestinysAngels 12 Posted December 9, 2011 !Lets have fun posting interesting Sayings/Funnies and Poems about our Furry Friends! :nuts:Don't Go off the Topic:nuts: "THE BED PUPPY" Now I lay me down to sleep; The king-size bed is soft & deep! I sleep right in the center groove; My human being can hardly move! I've trapped her legs; She's tucked in tight; And here is where I pass the night! No one disturbs me or dares intrude; Til morning comes & 'I want food!' I sneak up slowly to begin; My nibbles on my human's chin! She wakes up quickly; I have sharp teeth - I'm a puppy; Don't you see? For the morning's here & it's time to play; I always seem to get my way! So 'thank you Lord' for giving me; This human person that I see! The one who hugs & holds me tight; And shares her bed with me at night! booksallsizes 10 Posted December 10, 2011 (edited) This is an excerpt from "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. I just love the incident of the Prince and Fox for it contains so many truths about animal/human relationships... "Just that," said the fox. "To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world . . ." And this brilliant line:"Men have forgotten this truth," said the fox. "But you must not forget it. You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed. I love that book! Edited December 10, 2011 by booksallsizes

Dumdledore 10 Posted December 10, 2011 Dogs are also cheerful most of the time, and they're quite transparent in their needs. For instance, they want to touch and be touched, and they will show you this in very direct, physical ways. So, dogs are often called 'man's best friend' - but like in all good friendships the relationship is mutual: Properly trained, a man can be dog's best friend. ~ Corey Ford ~
