protocol7 10 Posted August 15, 2011 Bidding on this item for my girlfriends birthday next week: eBook Readers - AMAZON KINDLE- Free 3G + Works Globally, 6" Display - Paper-Like Display for sale in Johannesburg (ID:43330091) Is it normal for 2 users who have just registered(accounts are 3 days and 1 day old) to bid so fervertly? Anyone else had the same experience? Seems strange.
StudMuffinsMissus 10 Posted August 16, 2011 It is very strange to have 3 new users with no ratings bidding, all having registered within days of each other. Most (not all) people tend to buy smaller things as a first purchase. See there's also no comments... maybe because this is a well known seller on BoB. I would be miffed if I lost out, sure you GF would have loved it.
StudMuffinsMissus 10 Posted August 16, 2011 Oh, I didn't notice you outbid them. This is not an accusation, just an observation: there are SO many users with purchases but no ratings at all. It seems strange to me to make purchases, then you don't get or give ratings at all?! I'm sure this has been discussed but surely all users should be verified to make it more fair for all, why not? It's too easy to create hundreds of accounts then bid using them 6 months or a year later (so as not to make it look suspicious) whenever your sales don't look so lekker.
