Erm - please correct me if I have got completely the wrong end of the stick (it happens often :smile:) - but could your username and good ratings not then be bought by a scammer of some sort who could then take advantage of people bidding on his/her items? Because the buyer would see all the positive feedback and think that this is a safe seller...

It is possible, just like it is when you purchase a business in the real world, you get everything that comes with it, including client lists, goodwill, reputation etc. All we ask is that the seller notify us and we get docs from the new owner.

I completely agree with Cuan, risk passes with the sale of any business. As well as that in order for any new purchaser to become verified they would have to undergo the same Verification process including criminal record check so hopefully eliminating any fraudsters taking on a BoB username with many ratings.
