MiemsJewels 12 Posted June 29, 2011 what happens if i made a bid and for some reason my funds have become unavailable to ? e.g cash stolen ect . .. .will i just get a bad rating? Hi BBoy, you can discuss it with the seller to pay later. If you do not make arrangements a SNC will be filed against you. You will get a negative rating, and can even get blacklisted. hope this will help. Miems

admin 8 Posted June 29, 2011 Hi BBoy21, Welcome to the forums. You will have to ask the seller in the item's Q&A to delete your bid, or ask hello@bidorbuy.co.za to delete it. Just out of curiosity, is the bid by frf22 on the same cell phone also yours ?
qball 12 Posted June 30, 2011 Please also ask the seller to delete your bid if the auction is still open.

Little Miss Muffet 81 Posted May 22, 2012 If it was one of my items you could not pay for I would give you "Time" In the slammer. Best advise----- ask the seller to delete your bid.

Shame on you all-the poor bidder has probably been scared off BOb for life-if he has not yet left the country-reminds me not to ask for advice here again:toung::grin:
Not1CentMore 10 Posted May 22, 2012 My personal favorite.... Mind you, this was received on a business email, within 10-minutes of sending a winning email notification, with Buyer's name, title, phone number and signature: "The buyer died". Yet, Buyer has bid/won a 'sprinkling' of auctions since. That is what I call really reaching out from the 'Great Beyond'. Ruthie

Not1CentMore 10 Posted May 22, 2012 The BEST one I've ever heard Ruthie.:toung: Miems... Gotta give her credit for 'originality' if nothing else. Beats the heck out of 'the dog ate my keyboard' and, on the way down, his tonsils must have hit the 'bid' button. Ruthie
lilythepink 11 Posted May 23, 2012 Talking about spirits ... There was a nightclub with the Full Gospel Church opposite it, both in a residential area of Grahamstown. Both of which irritated nearby residents greatly - the church-goers would park anywhere and everywhere and walk across the street, stand talking in the street and generally create havoc for passing vehicles. The nightclub, of course, only closed at the time church opened but it was a noisy, nasty place. Some bright spark wrote a letter to our little local newspaper saying: "I don't know which is worse, the holy spirit or the bottled spirits". The church is still there and the nightclub is now a block of flats, so the Holy Spirit prevailed!
amcintyre 10 Posted May 23, 2012 (edited) My personal favorite.... "The buyer died". That's brilliant - thanks for the laugh. Don't forget : My two year old logged in and managed to make a bid. My computer blew up. I've been really sick. Family members have passed on and we had to attend their funerals. I don't remember making a bid? Can it possibly be a fault on BOB? Imagine if we, as sellers used these excuses. "Thanks for your winning bid, unfortunately the seller is dead". (He dropped dead after he saw the item go for R1 :-D ) Edited May 23, 2012 by amcintyre
