Not1CentMore 10 Posted June 17, 2011 New buyer (no ratings) bid / won auction. Winning email notification sent day auction closed. No reply. Reminder email sent 3-days later. No reply. SNC filed. Buyer responds to remit payment. Buyer sends email, from email address registered with BoB and 'signed' with Buyer's name (as shown on BoB), saying Buyer has passed away, but Buyer is willing to remit payment for the item, less shipping, and I can keep the item. Seems there ARE some things you can take with you....internet access.

meeks 10 Posted June 17, 2011 Indeed! It is strange that in some cases a buyer will respond only after being notified of an SNC filed against them. I filed one a couple days ago (after no communication or payment for 10 days),so buyer sends me an e-mail "So sorry, I forgot to pay,is the item still available?". I replied and said "yes the item is still available". - Have not heard a thing since, and I am not holding my breath either.

MiemsJewels 12 Posted June 17, 2011 More than likely, but mercy sakes!...can you imagine the shipping costs? Shipping cost? None. Send it along with someone who passed away recently. Just put it in the coffin. It should reach the buyer soon, at no extra cost.

But will the "dodgy" buyer be in the same place where the item is supposed to be "delivered" Oh my goodness, we getting cynical now?

lilythepink 11 Posted June 18, 2011 Perhaps the buyer passed on to greener pastures (as opposed to passing over?) LOL

Wild Olive Art 11 Posted June 18, 2011 I suppose it's possible that a spouse or partner replied using the buyers email . If not , it's a really sick excuse to use for the late payment.
Not1CentMore 10 Posted June 18, 2011 Sick...yes. Original...beats 'the dog ate my homework'. Will be interesting to see if Buyer bids/wins other auctions and whether or not they are completed (payment made, parcel shipped, etc.)
