Wild Olive Art 11 Posted May 15, 2011 My son, who is a university student recently had his brand new Blackberry stolen ! I would like to replace the phone for him but I am not in a position to pay the R2k that it would cost so thought I would try find a " bargain " on BoB. My concern however, with buying a phone off the site is whether or not the phones listed for sale on this site really do work on all the networks in SA, if the BIS would function properly and also where a " manufacturers " warranty is given , how valid in reality would this warranty be ? Are these so called " refurbished " phones worth considering ? Has anybody here had experience with buying a smartphone off Bidorbuy ? Any input would be welcome !
StudMuffinsMissus 10 Posted May 15, 2011 I bought an ancient Blackberry (7800 I think?) quite some time back & the phone works perfectly. Just make sure to check the sellers ratings and ask questions about the phone if you're unsure - most reputable sellers would only sell unlocked phones anyway, with functional BIS. Not sure about the manufacturer's warranty though.
