Mintage of the 1934 2/- 154 000 (second scarcest 2/- after the 1939 2/- - mtge 120 000)

Your specimen I would grade as VF (Keogh) with wear on the abdomen of the Antelope, side burn, cheek ,eyebrow & neck muscle. In 2008 , I paid R290 for a VF ? cleaned coin of this type and year.

An AU58 (Old ANACS) toned specimen as shown, I paid $218 in 2008

I find Southern Rhodesian Two Shillings particularly attractive as they depict acurately the most beautiful Antelope in Africa, the Sable.

Grading : PCGS 1 coin graded (MS61) NGC: 3 coins graded XF45(1), AU58(1), MS62(1)

Regards

Geejay

Hi Geejay,

Thank you very much for the info it is really appreciated.

The reason I am so attracted to this coin is because of the Sable Antelope it is such a beautiful proud animal.

It is really an excellent coin you have there.

Regards

Carl
