Digitrade 10 Posted April 9, 2011 Since today I have been receiving the following message in a pop-up every time I try to open the Bidorbuy website: Security Warning! Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely? This webpage contains content that will not be delivered using a secure HTTPS connection, which could compromise the security of the entire webpage. Any advise? This only happens on the Bidorbuy website.
Guest MacMuffin Posted April 9, 2011 Can you post the URL you want to access?
Digitrade 10 Posted April 9, 2011 I just got the same message again. As soon as I want to open the Bidorbuy website, the pop-up appears. It gives me an option of "Yes" or "No". If I click "Yes", then the Home Page opens, but all the thumbnails do not show. If I click "No", then the Home Page opens very slow.
Digitrade 10 Posted April 9, 2011 This is very strange indeed. I have a set link in my favorites that I have been using forever to access the Bidorbuy site. If I open this link, then the URL is as follows: https://www.bidorbuy.co.za/. If I open this link, then the security warning pops up. If I just type "Bidorbuy" into my browser toolbar as to search for something on the internet, then the following URL comes up: bidorbuy - Bid, Buy or Sell cameras, computers, diamonds, coins, cars & more on auction at cheap prices. If I click on this link, then the security warning is nowhere to be found. Notice that the second link does not contain a "s" at the end of "http"?

brands online 10 Posted April 9, 2011 Chances are no-one is going to see this at this time on a Sunday morning, but the filters in my open auctions with winning bids is hanging now. If by chance there is someone from Admin still around at this ungodly hour, if I try to arrange ie."Viewed", "Users Watching", etc. the page just hangs and eventually throws out a database error message or takes me to the bidorbuy's back-end is temporarily down... I know chances are the gremlins will be asleep by the time dawn comes and all will probably just be okay again, but maybe there is something?:wondering:

Guest MacMuffin Posted April 10, 2011 If you use https://www.bidorbuy.co.za you will get a warning about mixed content on the home-page. We only enforce HTTPS on payment pages / login. @DigiTrade - you should bookmark bidorbuy - Bid, Buy or Sell cameras, computers, diamonds, coins, cars & more on auction at cheap prices and not https://www.bidorbuy.co.za
Digitrade 10 Posted April 10, 2011 @Mac - If I type the word "Bidorbuy" into my browser search toolbar, then the first option that opens is the "http" link. No problems. If I type "www.bidorbuy.co.za." into the browser search toolbar, then the "https" link is the first option available. Security warnings! Surely something is not right? Clear your browser cache/history/cookies etc - this should sort it hopefully out. It looks like a browser issue with regards to this message.
Digitrade 10 Posted April 10, 2011 I use MSN as my Homepage. This seems to happen in this browser, as I did the same searches in Google, and all is fine. I am just worried that other users that search for your site through MSN might get a skrik when they see these security warnings.
Little Miss Muffet 93 Posted April 10, 2011 I had the same issue a while ago and I was given the cure for it but the thread seems to have been removed. It was under "secure and insecure" either in the Bidorbuy thread (feedback ) or communnity chat . It has something to do with the security settings.
Guest MacMuffin Posted April 10, 2011 @geewhizz - the issue you are referring to was a bug on our part - we accidentally mixed secure and insecure content, but this was fixed long time ago. @Digitrade - doing a Bing search does show the right URLs. Perhaps IE got itself into a knot here - I suggest you bookmark bidorbuy - Homepage or bidorbuy - Login.
Digitrade 10 Posted April 10, 2011 Do a Bing Search, but type the complete www dot bidorbuy dot co za address as a search, and the "https" link to bidorbuy will be your first option.
