Hi Numismatists

Your opinion on coins graded by ICG.

I have only bought two coins in their holders, a 1938 MS-65 3D (which I still have) and a 1935 AU-53 2/ which crossed over to an NGC AU-50. I would assume in buying any con in this holder that it is at least one grade higher than what NGC or PCGS would assign it. That might not be true but it would be more conservative to assume so.

Hi Neels, I would agree with jwither. Furthermore I think ICG might be more lenient with regards to defects on coins. I have a coin in an ICG slab with a scratch in the field, which I am pretty sure that NGC would have put in a detailed holder indicating "scratched".

Kind Regards, Gert
