Howard Neill 10 Posted February 26, 2011 Hi I have a fluffy singing camel. It is a travel souvenir, but could also be classed as a toy. Which category should I put it under? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COr3S7VosxsCheers Howard

Howard Neill 10 Posted February 26, 2011 I know, JP. I had that coming. I tried to edit the Title/Heading, without success. .
JPBon 10 Posted February 26, 2011 Thats the worst thing, you make a mistake in the heading and there is no way to edit it.
lilythepink 11 Posted February 26, 2011 I would suggest isting it under "unusual" - it certainly is that! And it's ever so cute.
Howard Neill 10 Posted February 26, 2011 Thanks for the feedback, JP & Lily. Are people likely to find it under "unusual"? It might get a better price as a toy? What do you think?
mellowred 10 Posted February 26, 2011 Hi Howard That is a very cute guy. Why not list it under both - unusual and toys. You should get a good price for it so may be worth the R5 fee.
Howard Neill 10 Posted February 26, 2011 Thanks Mellowred. I am a newbie and I am showing my ignorance. I was always under the impression that you could only choose one category. I have just learnt something.
lilythepink 11 Posted February 26, 2011 "Unusual" items are the most looked at, I think - just see how many listers take chances by listing everyday, common items there! You can list it under a second category but there is a fee involved (not too sure what it is but it's nothing major). Take a look at the fees and you'll see whether you want to do this. I think your camel is too cute for words! Not sure that I would want him to "sing" too often but he's beautiful.
Howard Neill 10 Posted February 26, 2011 My wife hates the camel. The grandchildren, aged 8 and 10 love it. You can't win them all. If the fee is something like R5, I will pay the extra. Thanks for all the advice.
Vegar 15 Posted February 27, 2011 LOL  - a must have! I have three camels who sound worse than this!
Howard Neill 10 Posted February 27, 2011 Are we talking about Isaac, Ligman & Barack? They sound worse.
lilythepink 11 Posted February 27, 2011 No, man. I'm think the names you mention are the ones who have a million fleas infesting their armpits?
Vegar 15 Posted February 27, 2011 Absolutely! I am the proud owner of the three most fabulous camels in the world! Me and Izak
Vegar 15 Posted February 27, 2011 No, man. I'm think the names you mention are the ones who have a million fleas infesting their armpits? I really don't like you!
Vegar 15 Posted February 27, 2011 Nice pictures! I hope everybody enjoyed themselves:smile: It is a very safe ride but most people find it a fantastic thrill - I tell people they pay for the getting up and down - the ride is for free! The camels have been working faithfully for 16 years now and are about to retire - I am in the process of getting a new group. I am (hopefully) getting the 'singing camel' - my parents will appreciate the hilarity!
Howard Neill 10 Posted February 27, 2011 (edited) Thanks. The camels are most photogenic. The kids just loved the ride. Kindest regards to Izak, Ligman & Barack. We wish them well in their retirement. Edited February 27, 2011 by Howard Neill
lilythepink 11 Posted February 27, 2011 (edited) Vegar - I am SO, SO envious! And you and Izak make a fantastic picture together! These camels are so fortunate to have an owner who cares enough to retire them and love them in their old age! lilythepink 11 Posted February 27, 2011 I really don't like you! Humble apologies, Vegar! I didn't realise you really had three beautiful, live camels! (I thought someone was referring to politicians from another country). And a second apology - I thought it was mellowred who owned the camels. The compliment I passed to her is intended for you! I shouldn't have got out of bed this morning, it seems!
