SAPO and snail-mailing CDs

I've never had a problem posting CDs or receiving them through the post! Perhaps I'm just lucky?

Likewise. For fifteen years, we mailed our wedding videos, then DVDs, around the world. We learnt, right at the beginning, to send them by registered post. That way, not one failed to arrive at its destination. When there was a quantity, we would use the official red/blue SAPO mailing boxes.

Hi All

I post CD's regularly.

I use parcel mail with tracking and with a padded envelope.

The CD cases are also wrapped in bubble wrap and then placed in the envelope.

The whole envelope is then wrapped with packaging tape to protect the edges and possible openings from "tampering".

Generally there haven't been any problems, except the odd jewel case cracking.

Once, though, I did get a parcel returned to me that had several CD's in it. It was soo badly damaged, it looked as though a tractor had driven over the parcel, the CD cases were smashed and the CD's actually had bits broken out of them, I am still amazed to this day that so much damage can be done.

As Lily maintains, elephants work at the post office, especially around strike time.
