Transferring email stuff to another computer

Recommended Posts

Cali Craft and Gems

To all the pc boffins out there (or others who can assist):

I've been using a laptop for all these years, but finally the hard-drive has decided it's had enough. I was able to transfer over all my files and folders to the other pc at home via "networking", but have one major query still:

How can I transfer all my emails to the other pc? (program used is Incredimail)

This is of utmost importance as this is where all my customer info, etc is!

The laptop is still "usable" at this stage (can switch on, just makes awful sound when starting) so the networking transfer is possible. I have refrained from switching on the laptop unnecessarily so I could still have the chance of salvaging my emails.

A second query is, does anyone know who can service my laptop in the PE area with the high probability of replacing the hard-drive? Brand is Mecer, model is Power D/T 4 Notebook. (yes, I know it's a few years old, but it's served me well!)

All advice and assistance would be sincerely appreciated!

Kind regards,

Janet

Here you go:

To save and transfer your Contact list:

1. Click on File | Import and Export to a file.

2. Click Next.

3. Select Personal Folder File (.pst) from the list of file types.

4. Click Next.

5. From the folder tree, select Contacts.

6. Click Next.

7. Save the exported file as a file on your flash drive.

8. Click Finish.

You do the same for all your personal folders in Outlook.

Hi

No I haven't. Even my local IT guy is avoiding the subject!

Many thanks,

Janet
