Buy used stamp or buy unused stamp ???

Between used stamp and unused stamp, what different ???

Should I collect used stamp or unused stamp ???

As a rule of thumb, used stamps are more common and thus cheaper than their unused (mint) counter parts. However, there are many examples of FINE USED stamps being not only considerably more expensive, but also just about impossible to obtain.

On the average, a used collection would be cheaper to obtain than a mint collection.

If you are purely collecting for fun / education, go for whatever you like.

However, should you hope to get a return on your money, either go for Fine Mint or Fine used. Currently, the international trend is to collect Superb Unmounted Mint and Superb Used.
