Be careful of buying software on BidorBuy.

I bought an Adobe Photoshop. Bought two from the same person and a Dreamweaver from someone else. It will load and ask for a serial number which will be on the back of the cover. Punch it in and it will accept. However, later on it will ask you if you for the serial number again. This time it will not accept, you will have to use the 30 day trial period. Contacted Adobe directly and they say that they do not have the serial number on the system. So here's what probably happened. A trial version was downloaded placed on a cd, a program was written to accept a fake serial number when loading and then a box made and sealed to look as if it is the genuine product. So be careful. BidorBuy will not accept responsibility and will not intervene. SO BE WARNED! I see that a couple of copies are being sold again.

Microsoft software for sale on BOB is MSDN - not for personel or business use!

Mine was de-activated - MS Office 2010. Microsoft say they are aware of this on BOB. The FIRST question they asked was"did you buy this on Bid or Buy" !!!!!!!!!

We do work together with Microsoft on these issues, however, we are not the only site or platform this happens on. It is also very difficult to monitor and police as we are not software experts, we never see the product or software and cannot determine this by simply looking at a listing on our website. That is why we work with Microsoft on these matters and do what we can to assist them and our community regarding these matters. But please bear in mind we cannot be held responsible for the buyer's decision to purchase an item from a seller. Sellers are legally bound by law to ensure that they sell authentic and genuine items and should this not be the case you have legal recourse against them, and we can take further steps to stop them from selling on the site.

Please also remember to not open multiple threads on the same issue. Stick to one thread and post your comments here.

Thank you

Cuan
