Should The Thumbnail Reflect The Actual Article On Auction?

Recommended Posts

If I want to sell an article be it new or second hand should the thumbnail reflect the actual article for sale? Can I use an internet generated image for the thumbnail and sell an item that looks similar but use a disclaimer saying that the thumbnail is for illustration purposes only?

I have seen people state that they are using generic pics.

Well, I see that people selling beads use any pretty pictures to draw buyers' attention to their listing. So this must be allowed on BoB, even if the picture does not look anything like the item being sold.
