What about torches? For adults and for children... Torches for sale and Camping and hiking torches for sale

Also tents - for children in particular...

Watches - children LOVE watches (have bought many on BoB as gifts and the recipients have truly loved them) - Buy and Sell Kids' Watches

Just as a matter of interest - one of the most all time successful toys for almost any child is a ball of some sort. Yet there does not appear to be a category for in the section. Meant to ask this some time back - reminded again today. Oh, hang on,,, there it is - balls, frisbees and boomerangs (Balls, Frisbees and boomerangs for sale)

I stuck to items only found in Toys & Hobbies, but those suggestions are also great.

It all depends...

It depends what you are able/willing to spend, and what sort of interests he has.

 

One thing that I know is a hit with most guys, is a remote control Helicopter.

Something very important to look out for is the type of helicopter. You get helicopters and then you get helicopters.

 

A great place to start is a 3 channel helicopter. These generally use infrared transmitters (like a fancy tv remote).

Indoor Helicopter for sale. Buy or sell Indoor Helicopter related items. These are best suited for indoor flights and you should expect to spend up to around R300.

 

I have a 4 channel helicopter that uses a radio frequency remote (this one actually - Helicopters - AzTech, Helex Series RC Helicopter for sale in Johannesburg (ID:27074751)).

Some of these can fly outside (low wind) and are a bit more exciting. You also get 6 channel helicopters, but these are difficult to start out on and they are much more expensive than the 4CH counterparts.
