Uncancelled FDCs

If anybody can shed some light on this for me please: does something like an uncancelled FDC exist?

Blank (no stamp and no cancellation) FDC’s do exist (they are quite common). Thus, uncancelled FDC’s with stamps on will definitely exist as well.

Hi Jacques,

 

Thanks for the feedback. Not so sure about the common part though, unless there isn't a market for them or no one has bothered listing any. I could only find one on bob, listed as a "rare variety".

 

So if there are any dealers out there sitting with uncancelled FDCs with a South African sports theme, stick them up for auction please!

Every dealer is entitled to price his / her stock at whatever price. I would have priced the 2 FDC's at R5-00 for both. I hope to list some on Sunday night latest providing I can put enough together to make the listiting worhwhile.

I sold a lot some time ago and basically on average got R10.00 per pair, for one serviced and one unserviced FDC. Considering unserviced FDC's cost about 10 cents each not a bad return.

I must have at least another 100 somewhere!

In theory, all RSA and Nambia stamps get issued on a FDC.

This is the only Sport Unserviced (blank) FDC that I could find (FDC 2.21). Or at least, to me, wine drinking should have been a sport.
