Could this coin be from a cracked die?? A 1947 Southern Rhodesia half crown

There is a crack over the left of the axe that extends to the lions foot and a crack from the end of the f to the top of the axe handle

I am not sure what the brown mark is from

This doers not appear to be a cracked die but rather a flawed plachet i.e. the planchet cracked when struck or could even have cracked a while after been struck due to metal stress. In a cracked die you would see a raised ridge as the metal flowed into the crack in the die when struck.

A cracked die would not be a variety but an Mint Error coin. Usually these coins will be taken out on final inspection and would not se the daylight but when they slip through, especially like with most high grade coins will be worth a small premium to normal between cracked die collectors. Lesser grade coins will be on par with the same date and denomination.

Flawed Planchet or"Struck through" error i.e. some foreign objects in the area seen in this coin when the coin was minted. Difficult to say with only the pictures. Not worth much and coin will never grade.

Here is an exsample of an Struck through coin. Thanks Jan for the Info suplied. You will see that part of the sail is on the other ide as well. Could still be a little die clash error.
